THE KITCHEN TABLE

A private community for job seekers who want real answers from real people. Ask the questions you can't Google or ChatGPT, share what's actually working, and get honest support from people who are in it with you. Monthly office hours with Aura included.

THE SUPPER CLUB

A rotating event series in Vancouver; sometimes a casual community dinner, sometimes a structured event with recruiters or mentors present, sometimes simply a shared meal for people who are tired of going through it alone. A note from the Founder.

Hi, I’m Aura. I built The People Kitchen for anyone navigating one of the hardest moments in their professional life, and to make sure they don't have to do it alone. Sending applications into the void, navigating a layoff you didn't see coming, getting ghosted, collecting rejection emails, or feeling trapped in a job that's eating you alive. It’s a lot to carry, and most people are carrying it alone.

I spent over a decade as a Head of People, Culture, and Operations at companies across Canada, the US, and Latin America, sitting on the other side of the table, making hiring decisions, and watching talented people get overlooked. I built The People Kitchen to change that. To use everything I know to make the job search a little less hard and to create a community where you can be real about what's actually going on.

Real support, honest guidance, and a community that actually gets it.

My work has been featured in Nasdaq, BRIT+CO, Create & Cultivate, Thrive Global, Authority Magazine, and DisruptHR. But what matters most to me is that you arrive here and feel like you finally found your people.

Come as you are. The kitchen's always open.

What we stand for.

Inclusion and Belonging · Mental Wellness · Respect

These are our values, and everything here is built around them. The People Kitchen was created because the working world is hard enough without feeling like you don't belong in it. We believe opportunity shouldn't depend on who you know, where you're from, or whether the system was built with you in mind.

And we mean it beyond words. 5% of all profits are donated annually to the Loveland Foundation, providing therapy access and mental wellness support for Black women and girls, and the Aboriginal Mother Centre Society in Vancouver, empowering Indigenous women and families through community, culture, and healing.

Because who gets a seat at the table matters far beyond the workplace.
